AGRA, Feb. 8 -- Two men were arrested on Saturday for allegedly murdering an Army jawan who had come to Hathras to attend a court hearing on Thursday, police said. The deceased, Akhilesh Kumar, 28, was posted in the engineering wing of an Army workshop in Agra. He was shot dead after motorcycle-borne assailants intercepted his car on the Agra-Aligarh road. Hathras superintendent of police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha identified the accused as Bobby alias Vishal and Raja alias Rahul, who allegedly opened fire on Kumar near a farmhouse along the highway. Police said interrogation revealed the motive to be personal enmity. Kumar had married a cousin of one of the accused following a love affair. Police said they allegedly planned the killing after learning he would visit Hathras in connection with a court case. Investigation is underway.htc...
