AGRA, Jan. 22 -- The Government Railway Police (GRP) at Etawah rescued a 10-month-old child allegedly kidnapped from Nandan Kanan Express and arrested three accused, including a woman, officials said. Addressing media persons in Agra on Wednesday, SP (railways) Anil Kumar Jha said that a woman had boarded the Nandan Kanan Express at Aligarh railway station on the night of January 15, along with her 10-month-old baby. Around 1 pm, a passenger seated in front of her allegedly offered her food mixed with some intoxicant. After she lost consciousness, her child was allegedly kidnapped. A 'zero FIR' in transit was lodged with the Mirzapur GRP after the woman regained consciousness. The case was later registered against unidentified accused under sections 123 and 137(2) of the BNS, and the investigation was transferred to Etawah GRP. Four teams were formed to trace the child and apprehend the accused. CCTV footage from Aligarh railway station helped identify the prime accused, Sonu Singh, 28, a resident of Bulandshahr, Jha said. A joint team of Aligarh and Etawah GRP tracked Sonu Singh to Dadri in Gautam Budh Nagar, where he was arrested while attempting to flee. During interrogation, Sonu Singh revealed that the child had been sold for Rs.3.5 lakh to Ashok Kumar and his wife, who were also arrested. The child was recovered and handed back to the mother, said Jha, who announced a Rs.25,000 reward for the team involved in the successful recovery....
