10 candidates booked for cheating in SSC MTS
PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 13 -- An FIR has been registered against ten candidates for using high tech methods to cheat during the MTS recruitment examination for Central government ministries and departments, and the Constable Recruitment 2025 exam for the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBIC and CBN). The Staff Selection Commission's Central Zone office in Prayagraj has also begun the process of debarring all of them from future SSC examinations.
The first phase of the computer based MTS and Constable Recruitment 2025 exams has been underway since February 4 and is scheduled to continue till February 20. The SSC's Central Zone office had clearly instructed candidates not to switch off the computer assigned to them for the test. However, these candidates violated the rule and switched off their systems before handing over remote access to individuals acting as solvers outside the examination centre. When officials monitoring the exam through specialized software detected the irregularities, they immediately identified the candidates and took action. According to Dr Ashish Kumar Srivastava, regional director of the SSC Central Region, three candidates in Jhansi were caught on February 6, one in Kanpur on Feb 9, two in Varanasi on Feb 10 and four more in Varanasi on February 11 for cheating by giving remote access of their computers to solvers.
