Dehradun, Feb. 11 -- The 45-year-old Kotdwar-based gym owner has allegedly been issued a fresh threat by another right-wing outfit, Hindu Raksha Dal, amid a row that turned communal after a confrontation with members of Bajrang Dal when they were allegedly harassing an elderly Muslim shopkeeper in the town of Pauri Garhwal district last month, people aware of the matter said. Hindu Raksha Dal had kicked up another controversy after its members allegedly vandalised the Baba Bulleh Shah mazaar in Mussoorie in January. The organisation has also announced a plan to stage a protest outside Deepak Kumar's gym on February 12. State chief of Hindu Raksha Dal Lalit Sharma issued the threat in a video message, claiming that the organisation would "teach him a lesson". HT has seen the video. In the clip, Sharma alleges that Kumar has "become a mullah in Kotdwar" and says that the national leadership and state unit of the Hindu Raksha Dal have decided to reach Kotdwar on Thursday. Further in the video, he could be heard calling upon supporters to gather outside Kumar's gym at 3 pm. Sharma said Kumar would not understand "until his mind is corrected in their language" and refers to him as a "secular bug", adding that "the time has come to kill it".On January 24, members of Hindu Raksha Dal allegedly vandalised Baba Bulleh Shah Mazaar, located on the property of Wynberg-Allen School in Bala Hissar area of Mussoorie. The next day, the police registered an FIR against three known accused and several unidentified people under sections 196 (1) (b) (any act which is prejudicial to the maintenance of harmony between different religious, racial, language or regional groups or castes or communities), and 298 (injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult religion of any class) of the BNS at Mussoorie police station. But, no arrest has been made in the Mussoorie case so far. Pauri Garhwal SSP Sarvesh Panwar said: "Our social media team is active and is monitoring content related to Kotdwar being uploaded on social media. We will take the required action against any individual or organisation threatening to disturb law and order." Recently, a man from Bihar threatened Deepak Kumar and announced a reward of Rs.2 lakh for anyone who kills him. After his video went viral on social media, the Pauri Garhwal police registered an FIR at Kotdwar police station under section 351 (3) (Threat to cause death or grievous hurt) of the BNS on Sunday evening. The accused, identified as Utkarsh Kumar, later issued an apology, claiming that he uploaded the video solely to gain more followers on his social media. On January 26, Kumar intervened after a group of Bajrang Dal workers allegedly harassed a 70-year-old Muslim shopkeeper in Kotdwar over the name of his outlet, 'Baba School Dress and Matching Centre'. The workers objected to the use of the word 'Baba', claiming it referred to Baba Sidhbali, a local deity associated with Lord Hanuman, whose famous temple is located in the town. Kumar was standing outside a friend's shop when the argument broke out and stepped in to defuse the situation.
