'Prepare Vision 2047 docs for panchayats'
Dehradun, Feb. 3 -- Chief secretary Anand Bardhan on Monday directed all district magistrates to prepare comprehensive vision documents at the district, block and panchayat levels, in line with the national and state-level Vision 2047 documents, aimed at long-term, sustainable development planning.
Reviewing district-wise development works at the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Auditorium at the Secretariat in Dehradun, Bardhan said the process of drafting vision documents should begin immediately. He instructed officials to organise workshops at various levels to facilitate structured planning and ensure uniformity in approach across districts.
The chief secretary further directed that meetings of the district planning committees (DPCs) must be convened by March, stressing that preparatory work should start at once to ensure timely finalisation of district plans. He said all procedural formalities related to proposed works must be completed in advance so that realistic cost estimates could be prepared for inclusion in the district development plans.
Bardhan also instructed that issues received through the government's public grievance redressal system should be systematically analysed and incorporated into district and state plans based on the nature and urgency of the work.
