'Expressions' ends at Shia College, hosts emerge champions
LUCKNOW, Feb. 18 -- The two-day mega youth festival 'Expressions Youth Fest-2026', organised by Shia PG College, concluded on Tuesday.
Principal prof S Shabihe Raza Baqri was present during the valedictory programme.
Maulana Yasoob Abbas, secretary of Majlis-e-Ulema, congratulated the winners and emphasised that the college has always been committed to the holistic development of students.
Syed Amir Ali Raza, joint secretary of the Board of Trustees, added that such cultural events boost students' confidence and significantly aid in institutional evaluations like NAAC and NIRF.
Prof Zareen Zehra Rizvi, coordinator of the cultural committee said that over 300 participants from 19 prestigious institutions participated in the fest. In the final tally, Shia PG College bagged the first position in 11 competitions to be crowned the overall champions, while Lucknow Christian College finished as runners-up.
Winners were honoured with medals, trophies, and certificates by IQAC coordinator prof MM Abu Tayyab.
The programme was conducted by Pradeep Sharma in the presence of prominent faculty members including prof Sarwat Taqi, Ejaz Abbas, prof BB Srivastava, and chief proctor prof Mehdi Abbas Zaidi. htc...
