Shimla district will be free of stray animals in Jan 2026: DC
Shimla, Dec. 16 -- The Shimla district administration vows to make the city free of stray animals by January 1, 2026.
This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap while announcing a 15-day special campaign on Monday and the district administration will now provide support to stray animals roaming on the roadsides in Shimla district. D
eputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap held a special meeting in which it was decided that all stray animals roaming in the identified locations of Shimla district will be shifted to nearby cow shelters by January 1, 2026. The entire district will be made free of stray animals in the new year.
