Shimla, Oct. 11 -- The Environment Information System (ENVIS) Hub at Himachal Pradesh Council of Science, Technology and Environment (HIMCOSTE) on Thursday launched a one month-long training programme on para-taxonomy, focused on peoples' biodiversity register, under the 'Securing Livelihoods, Conservation, Sustainable Use and Restoration of High Range Himalayan Ecosystem (SECURE) Himalayas project. The project is supported by the Government of India-United Nations Development Programme-Global Environmental Facility (GoI-UNDP-GEF). The training is being organised in collaboration with the HP forest department and state biodiversity board for Lahaul, Pangi and Kinnaur.
