NC to analyse Budgam result, says CM Omar
Jammu, Nov. 15 -- After losing Budgam and Nagrota assembly seats in the by-polls, chief minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said that the National Conference will analyse the results and changes could be done in the party if required.
"Obviously, we fought by-polls to win but the people of Budgam wanted something else. We wanted development, progress and welfare of the people of Budgam..we wanted their close relation with the government for the next four years but they wanted something else," he told reporters here.
"Now, we will analyse this result and see where were the deficiencies and where we have to reconcile and rectify. If some changes are needed in the party structure, they can be mulled and if some changes are required in the government, we can conduct an exercise there as well," he said.
The CM, however, said that it results were declared on Friday and it would be too early to take calls.
"I will talk to party president Dr Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar and request him to call a working committee meeting of the party in the next few days. We will hold threadbare discussions on Budgam and Nagrota results and accordingly take appropriate decisions," he added....
