Jammu/ Srinagar, Feb. 13 -- The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, has fixed February 19 as the next date of hearing into the case of jailed AAP MLA Meraj Malik. Malik, who remains jailed since September 8 last year under the PSA in Kathua jail for allegedly disturbing law and order in Doda district, has moved a petition challenging his detention.Justice Mohammad Yousuf Wani heard the arguments of state counsels Sunil Sethi and Monica Kohli on Thursday. "The court has listed the case for further hearing on February 19", advocate Appu Singh Slathia told reporters after the court hearing. Meanwhile, the People's Conference and the National Conference have sought his immediate release. The People's Conference on Thursday expressed concern over the continued detention of Malik and called for a review of his case.
