Shimla, May 8 -- The women wing of Congress on Tuesday announced to launch a statewide campaign against rise in crime incidents targeting women in Himachal Pradesh. All India Mahila Congress president Sushmita Dev said women activists of the party would be moving door-to-door to create awareness on crime against women and party's election promises. "Women will also be made aware about the Nyay Yojana through which 25 crore people will get Rs 6,000 per month," Dev told reporters in Shimla. Dev also lashed out at chief minister jai Ram Thakur and questioned him about steps being taken for women's safety in the state. She also targeted the state government over agricultural distress and unemployment.
