Srinagar, Jan. 31 -- Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) senior leader and MLA Langate, Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad, has condemned the brutal assault on an 18-year-old Kashmiri shawl seller in Uttarakhand, terming the incident "deeply disturbing and unacceptable." In a statement issued on Friday, he appreciated the concern expressed by chief minister Omar Abdullah, but raised serious questions over the continued silence of the lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir. "Why is the LG silent? He has never uttered a single word on any such attack. When any citizen of Jammu and Kashmir is beaten and humiliated outside the union territory, the head of the administration cannot look away," Sheikh Khursheed said....
