'Anti-national' activities: chargesheet filed against 40 persons
Srinagar, Dec. 15 -- A chargesheet has been filed by police against 40 persons allegedly involved in "anti-national" activities in Kashmir, an official said here on Sunday.
Police spokesperson said the challan was presented in Egress and Internal Movement Control Ordinance (EIMCO) case registered in Pulwama's Awantipora this year.
"Awantipora police presented the challan in a case registered under Sections 2/3 of the Egress and Internal Movement Control Ordinance Act, before the court against 40 accused who were allegedly involved in anti-national activities and had allegedly crossed the border to Pakistan for illegal arms training, and did not return thereafter," police spokesman said in a statement adding that investigation in the case was conducted by station house officer of Awantipora police station.
"After completion of all legal formalities, the chargesheet has been submitted for judicial proceedings," the spokesman said....
