State's renewable energy over 76% of total capacity
Jaipur, March 14 -- Rajasthan has emerged as one of India's leading renewable energy hubs, with 76.27% of its total installed power capacity coming from renewable sources, according to the Union ministry of new and renewable energy.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, MoS Shripad Yesso Naik said that the state's total installed power capacity stands at 57,424.89 MW, of which 43,798.06 MW is generated from renewable energy sources as of January 31, 2026.
Solar power forms the largest share of renewable capacity in the state with 37,925.04 MW installed, followed by 5,229.15 MW of wind energy, 136.15 MW of biomass power and 23.85 MW from small hydro projects....
