SOG books 38 Jalore constables for forged recruitment papers
Jaipur, Jan. 13 -- Thae state's Special Operations Group (SOG) has booked 38 police constables in Jalore for submitting forged documents during their recruitment.
ADG of SOG, Vishal Bansal, said, "The matter came to the fore during the ongoing verification drive of all the government employees in the last five years after a large level paper leak scam unfolded. The two FIRs have been lodged against these 38 constables following a report submitted to the SOG by the Jalore SP office last week."
Officials found that the signatures of the accused constables on their recruitment documents did not match those verified in the recent drive.

We will now question the constables about the mismatches. Further action will be taken accordingly," said Bansal.
SOG lodged two FIRs: the first named 26 constables from the 2018 batch, and the second named the remaining 12 from the 2021 batch.
The ADG said, "Another constable was also arrested from Baran on Saturday for providing false information about his age in the application form during his recruitment in 2023. We are suspecting that more such constables' names from other districts may also come to the fore for committing such forgery in the recruitment to secure a job. Further probe is underway."
