Jaipur, June 26 -- A host of leaders from the state and Centre, including chief minister Ashok Gehlot and BJP working president JP Nadda, paid tributes to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Lal Saini whose last rites were performed in Sikar on Tuesday.

Saini, 75, passed away on Monday in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi after a brief illness. He was admitted for treatment of a lung infection. However, his condition worsened and he was unable to recover. Saini is survived by his wife, a son and six daughters.

His body was brought to Jaipur on Tuesday and kept at the BJP office here for people to pay their last tributes.
