Raj police to organise special women safety programme
Jaipur, March 11 -- Marking International Women's Day, a special online awareness programme will be organised on March 12 to sensitise girl students about their rights, safety measures and cyber awareness.
The programme will be conducted via the Webex platform, with efforts underway to ensure participation from a large number of school and college students across the state.
Additional director general of police (civil rights and AHT) Lata Manoj Kumar said the initiative aims to raise awareness about the growing incidence of cybercrime in the digital age, inform students about various government schemes related to women's safety, and educate them on the use of digital safety platforms such as the RajCop app.
The session will also provide detailed information on legal rights and protections available to women.
The programme will be conducted in two sessions.
The first session, will focus on cyber awareness and women's safety in the digital era, with deputy inspector general (cyber crime) Vikas Sharma addressing students on cybercrime prevention, safe internet practices and protection against online fraud.
The second session will deal with new criminal laws and provisions related to women's safety, during which deputy inspector general (crime branch) Deepak Bhargava will explain key aspects of the new criminal codes and legal safeguards for women.
Officials said the initiative is aimed at empowering young women with knowledge and awareness.
