Jaipur, March 11 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday approved the Rajasthan Agricultural Produce Market Yard Land Acquisition Policy to streamline and bring transparency to land acquisition for mandi development, while also sanctioning over Rs.22 crore for infrastructure works in agricultural produce market committees across the state.
Official release from the CM's office states the new policy seeks to streamline land acquisition for market yard expansion and improve basic infrastructure within agricultural produce market committee (APMC) premises, thereby facilitating smoother marketing of farm produce.
Under the policy, in cases where awards have already been issued for land acquisition related to mandi development projects, 15% of the total acquired or under-acquisition land will be allotted back to landholders in the form of developed land. 20% of developed land will be allotted in cases where awards have not yet been issued.
The CM also sanctioned development works worth over Rs.22 crore for various agricultural produce market committees across the state. Infrastructure works including yard construction, electrification and approach roads will be undertaken in mandis across the state....
