Bharatpur/Dholpur, May 3 -- Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Saturday for opening fire at a 16-year-old girl outside her home in Dholpur, injuring her with bullets, allegedly after she refused his advance, officers said. According to the police, the incident occurred on April 27 under Nihalganj police station limits. The suspect arrived at the girl's house, forced her to come out and meet him, but she refused. Enraged, he fired at the house gate. After hearing the gunshot, the girl approached the door, prompting him to shoot again, police said. Bullets from the firing injured her. Family members rushed her to the district hospital, police said, and added that the suspect had been stalking and harassing her for a long time. Nihalganj police station in-charge Amit Kumar Sharma said: "The girl's father registered a complaint against the man for firing at his daughter. Police arrested then arrested the man and booked him under BNS sections 351(2) [criminal intimidation], 109(1) [murder]"....
