Man, woman in a relation outside marriage die by suicide in Sirohi
Barmer/Sirohi, Jan. 22 -- A 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, who were in an extra-marital relationship, allegedly ended their lives in Sirohi district on Wednesday, police said.
Police said they are investigating the circumstances behind the apparent suicide pact, including possible family opposition, social pressures, or other factors.
The incident occurred in Rowada village, under Kailashnagar police station in Shivganj tehsil. The house where the bodies were found belonged to a family that had gone out of station, leaving the property unoccupied. Kailashnagar police rushed to the spot on receiving information, conducted an on-site inspection, and retrieved the bodies.
Police said the woman had been missing from her home since January 16, with a missing person report filed the same day at Pindwara police station.
Shivganj deputy superintendent of police Pushpendra Verma said, "Authorities were alerted about the man and woman killing themselves in a closed house in Rowada village, prompting an immediate response. The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary at Posalia Hospital. Family members have been informed and summoned, after which post-mortem examinations will be conducted and legal proceedings will follow," Verma said....
