Industries dept targets 30,000 beneficiaries
Jaipur, April 24 -- Rajasthan's Industries and Commerce Department has set a target to provide financial assistance to 30,000 youths under the Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme in 2026-27, while planning to forward 60,000 applications to banks by June - double the annual goal - to fast-track approvals. So far, over 73,000 applications worth around Rs.3,580 crore have been received, with more than 31,000 already sent to banks.
The monthly breakup in the department's plan shows a front-loaded strategy: 30,000 applications in April, followed by 15,000 each in May and June. Districts have been assigned time-bound targets with instructions to forward twice the number of applications to banks to ensure higher sanction rates.
Industries and commerce commissioner Neelabh Saxena said that more than 73,000 applications have already been received under the scheme, reflecting strong demand for self-employment support.

The scheme was launched by chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on January 12, 2026, with the application process opening from January 22. Officials said a structured monthly beneficiary target has been mapped from April 2026 to January 2027, with continuous monitoring at the headquarters level to ensure timely execution.

Applicants with education between Class 8 and 12 are eligible for interest-free loans of up to Rs.3.5 lakh in the service and trade sectors and up to Rs.7.5 lakh in manufacturing, along with margin money support of up to Rs.35,000.
