India, May 9 -- R apper Yo Yo Honey Singh on Thursday denied before the Delhi High Court that he sang the controversial 2006 track Vol.1, which the court had earlier termed "vulgar". He also denied claims that he performed the song at a 2025 Delhi concert attended by over 50,000 people. The court is hearing a plea seeking the song's removal from online platforms. Vol.1 was allegedly released in 2006 by Singh and Badshah under their former collaboration, Mafia Mundeer. Denying any association with the track, Singh's counsel told the court, "This is an opportunity for me to make sure that this stigma goes because this is not mine. I have gone public to say that this is not something I have sung." The rapper also denied performing the song at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on March 1, 2025: "No such event happened. I did not sing. If something like this has happened in a stadium where there are 50,000 plus people, there must be one video clip of this."
