FIR against senior months after BLO died by suicide
Jaipur, March 22 -- The family members of a 36-year-old booth level officer (BLO) who died by suicide during the survey of special intensive revision (SIR) last year have filed a complaint against his supervisor on Saturday.
The inspector of the Bindayaka police station in Jaipur, Vinod Kumar, said, "The FIR was lodged after a court order. The victim's father lodged the FIR against the supervisor."
According to police, the BLO died by suicide on November 16 by jumping before a train. "He was a teacher at a school on Kalwad Road in Jaipur. He was given the charge of a Jhotwara-based booth. After his body was found from a railway station, the police recovered his last note from his pocket in which he cited extreme workload and constant threats by his supervisor Sitaram Bunkar," Kumar said.
Police registered a case against Bunkar under section 108 (abetment of suicide) of the BNS. "We have started investigating. Bunkar will be interrogated while we will also question his family members regarding behavioural changes few days before his death," he said.htc...
