DGP stresses on readiness at RAC felicitation ceremony
Jaipur, April 25 -- Rajasthan Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma on Friday emphasised discipline, preparedness, and professionalism while addressing officers and personnel at a grand decoration ceremony held at the 5th Battalion RAC campus.
During the event, the DGP honoured police personnel for their outstanding service and underscored the importance of maintaining high standards of efficiency within the force.
In his address, Sharma highlighted that a police force is judged by its turnout and alertness. "Whether the duty involves residential security, prison management, or maintaining law and order, there should be no compromise in preparedness," he said.
He stressed that professionalism should reflect in every aspect-from the way the uniform is worn to the promptness and discipline displayed upon reaching the spot. "Every action must demonstrate efficiency and readiness," he added.
Focusing on operational effectiveness, the DGP also stressed the correct use of equipment during law and order duties. He urged personnel to continuously improve their skills through practice and dedication to ensure that the Rajasthan Police performs at its best on all fronts.
The ceremony celebrated the achievements of RAC officers and personnel who have delivered exceptional performance in recent years. Sharma noted that recognition from the Police Headquarters is not merely a medal or certificate but a tribute to the hard work and commitment of the personnel.
A total of 315 personnel were honoured across various categories. The DGP, along with Sanjay Agarwal, presented the DGP Disc and commendation certificates to 49 personnel.
Additionally, 149 personnel were awarded the Ati Utkrisht Seva Medal by Rupinder Singh and Rahul Kotoki for commendable services. Earlier, 117 personnel were decorated with the Utkrisht Seva Medal by Vineet Bansal and Adarsh Sidhu.
Sanjay Agarwal, Director General (Law and Order), attended the ceremony as a distinguished guest. Speakers praised the unwavering discipline, dedication, and exemplary service of RAC personnel, noting that their performance in challenging conditions serves as an inspiration for the entire police force.
In his concluding remarks, Rupinder Singh expressed gratitude to the awardees, guests, and participants.
He said such ceremonies infuse fresh energy into the force and motivate personnel to strive for excellence.
A large number of senior officers, staff members, and dignitaries attended the event and encouraged the honoured personnel.
