India, March 27 -- Ever since Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar The Revenge hit theatres, actor Danish Iqbal has been winning praise for playing Dawood Ibrahim, aka Bade Sahab. But what stands out is that despite playing the character, even he wasn't aware of the fact that Dawood is Bade Sahab in the film, a suspense that kept the audience hooked after the release of the first part. He tells us, "Dawood Ibrahim hi Bade Sahab hain, yeh toh pata hi nahin tha mujhe actually. Yeh baad mein pata chala. Jab logon ne khojna shuru kiya, toh maine bhi khojna shuru kiya." Though he instantly agreed to the role: "Why not? I mean, Dawood Ibrahim's character is so strong. aankh jhapakte hi haan bola." The weight of portraying the character, played by several actors in the past, hit him later: "I was a little worried also about whether I would be able to live up to their expectations or not." Rumours around Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi playing Bade Sahab in Dhurandhar The Revenge only added to his uncertainty. "Mujhe maloom tha maine shoot kiya hua hai. lekin yeh ho sakta tha ki Bade Sahab ka character hi koi aur ho," he says, admitting he too began second-guessing things. Somewhere in the back of his mind, the 48-year-old did think that he was Bade Sahab because of his get-up and the prosthetics. But when Danish heard the rumours, he thought it could be a whole new character. When asked if he was as doubtful about who Bade Sahab is as the audience, Danish laughs and replies, "Haan haan! Actor toh aur zyaada insecure hota hai inn cheezon ko leke."...
