Bharatpur/Dausa, Feb. 12 -- At least six men were killed after the car they were travelling in overturned and collided with a truck in Dausa district, police said on Wednesday. According to police, the accident took place late on Tuesday near Kailai turn on Jaipur-Agra National Highway 21 under Sikandra police station. The driver lost control of the car, jumped the divider, and collided head-on with the truck, police said. The deceased were friends and all resided in Kalakho village and were returning by car from Abhaneri after attending a wedding programme, police said. On being informed, police reached the spot and started a rescue operation. All injured were rushed to Sikandra hospital where four of them were declared dead while two others were referred to the district hospital where they were also declared dead. Police said the deceased were identified as Samay Singh,25, Lokesh Kumar, 24, Dilkhush Yogi, 24,Manish Yogi, 23, Ankit Bairwa, 26 and Navin Kumar, 23. Assistant sub inspector Hemraj Gurjar said, "A car crossed the divider to the wrong side and collided with a truck after it overturned.The bodies will be handed over to family members after post-mortem."
