ahmedabad cops nab absconding criminals after 7-hr operation
Jaipur, Feb. 11 -- The Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested two notorious fugitives from Kota, Rajasthan, after a tense seven-hour tactical operation that thwarted their plans to expand extortion rackets into Gujarat.
A senior official from the CID in Rajasthan said, "The arrested individuals have been identified as Aman alias Bacha (25), and Suhaib alias Chintu (26). Both are residents of Kota. The duo, linked to the infamous Ravi Godara gang, was reportedly attempting to establish a criminal foothold in Gujarat."
According to officials, both were involved in more than 20 offences, including organised extortion, murder, targeted shooting, and arms smuggling.
"Intelligence suggests the pair had recently integrated with the Ravi Godara network and migrated to Ahmedabad with the intent of spreading their extortion web and identifying local targets," said the officer.
He added: "Acting on precise human intelligence, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch officers launched a surveillance net that culminated in a daring 7-hour chase. Both men were neutralised and taken into custody before they could execute any local hits."
The pair will soon be handed over to Kota police for further investigation....
