2 dead after speeding SUV slams into trailer
Udaipur, April 4 -- Two men died and another was injured after their speeding Scorpio rammed into a stationary trailer on the Udaipur-Chittorgarh six-lane highway on Thursday night, police said.
The incident occurred around 9 pm near Awari Mata Temple in Daroli, they added.
According to police, the impact of the crash destroyed the front portion of the car.
Officers from nearby Dabok police station and highway patrol teams reached the scene and had to break open the vehicle doors to retrieve the victims.
The victims were identified as Vinod Menaria (36), who lived in Kharsan, Kheroda, and was driving the Scorpio, and Dinesh Meena (23), who lived in Dhariyawad, station house officer at Dabok, Gopal Nath.
"Shah Rukh Khan (25), a resident of Udaipur city, was seriously injured and was rushed to MB Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment and his condition remains critical."
Police said the three were travelling towards Udaipur when the accident took place....
