2 cousins killed after SUV hits motorcycle in Sikar district: Police
Jaipur, April 7 -- Two cousins were killed after a speeding SUV hit their motorcycle on the Sikar-Udaipurwati road in Rajasthan on Monday, police officers familiar with the matter said.
Officers added that the accident occurred about 15 km from Sikar city.
"The victims were thrown to the roadside after the collision and died on the spot," assistant sub-inspector Dhola Ram told reporters.
According to the officers quoted above, the collision was so severe that the motorcycle was stuck under the SUV (Bolero), and both vehicles caught fire, leading to a traffic jam on both sides of the road.
The deceased, Ramchandra Goswami, 39, and Mukesh Goswami, 30, were both residents of Purohit Ka Bas in Lakhhipura, said officers aware of the matter.
Police said that they were on their way to Sikar city for work when the speeding SUV coming from the opposite direction rammed into their vehicle.
Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot and sent the bodies for a post-mortem, they said, adding that traffic movement was also restored....
