Jaipur, Jan. 8 -- State social justice and empowerment minister Avinash Gehlot on Wednesday emphasised the need to develop assistive devices and artificial limbs that are lighter, more affordable and easier to use, while reviewing research initiatives aimed at improving support for persons with disabilities. Addressing a meeting held at the Ambedkar Bhawan headquarters, Gehlot recalled chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's announcement of research initiatives to enhance the quality of artificial limbs and equipment to better support persons with disabilities. in the state Budget for the financial year 2025-26.
