Rudrapur, Jan. 24 -- Three men allegedly broke into a trader's house in Udham Singh district and looted Rs.87,000 in cash and ornaments worth approximately Rs.6 lakh at gunpoint, said a senior police officer, adding that a probe into the incident was underway. The robbery occurred at the home of peanut wholesaler Naresh Prajapati in Bara village, said Udham Singh Nagar senior superintendent of police (SSP) Manikant Mishra. "We have formed several teams of police and SOG to identify and arrest the accused. As the crime scene is located in a village with no CCTV cameras, we are relying on manual policing and scanning footage from cameras installed along the national highway and internal roads ," SSP Mishra added.
