Haldwani, May 2 -- A 27-year-old man was arrested on Friday in Udham Singh Nagar district for allegedly molesting a minor, police said, adding that he was also accused of forcing her to change her religion. According to Haldwani (city) SP, Manoj Katyal, the accused, identified as Ibrahim, lived in Bajpur and was arrested based on a complaint lodged by a minor based in Nainital's Lalkuan on April 29. Katyal said the complaint alleged that the accused befriended the minor through a false profile on social media, acquired her personal details and subsequently convinced her to meet him, and then sexually assaulted her. "Based on her complaint, an FIR was registered against the accused under Sections 78 and 79 of the BNS and Sections 7 and 8 of the POCSO Act," Katyal said.htc...
