Faridabad Police arrest 12th accused in Rs.5.5cr stock app fraud
Faridabad, Feb. 10 -- A 22-year-old man was arrested Monday in a Rs.5.5 crore cyberfraud case, the 12th arrest. He allegedly sold a bank account used to dupe a Faridabad resident through a fake stock market scheme.
The accused, Mohit of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, allegedly provided his firm 'Sanwariya Traders' account, receiving Rs.50 lakh. He is on five-day remand.
The victim was contacted via the "B16 Trust Line Investor Network" in September and lured into downloading the "TL FIN" app. "As soon as the complainant transferred money... the amount, along with the profit, would appear in his app account. Thus, the complainant invested a total of Rs.5,562,1548," said Yashpal Yadav, Faridabad police PRO.
The fraud was realised when the platform vanished. "An FIR under Section 318(4) (cheating) under the BNS was subsequently lodged, and eleven arrests were thereafter made between October 2025 and January 2026," Yadav said. abhishek bhatia...
