Haldwani, Dec. 24 -- Two brothers were found dead inside their house in the Bachchi Nagar area of Mukhania in Haldwani on Tuesday morning, police said, adding that prima facie the case is related to alcohol consumption, however, an investigation is also being carried out from a murder angle as a standard procedure. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and initiated a probe to ascertain the cause of death, they said. Haldwani circle officer (CO) Amit Kumar said the deceased were identified as Manoj Kumar Arya (45) and Sunil Arya (31), sons of late Puran Chandra. Both were labourers by profession. "The incident surfaced when Manoj Kumar Arya's 13-year-old daughter, Pramita, woke up around 7 am on Tuesday and tried to wake her father and uncle, but they did not respond. She raised an alarm, following which neighbours informed the police," the CO said.
