Zeenat Aman was not a good actor; not everyone can be a star: Mumtaz
India, April 23 -- Veteran actor Mumtaz recently made candid remarks about fellow veteran actor Zeenat Aman while discussing stardom.
"Zeenat Aman was not a very good actress, sorry to say. How many awards did she get? If you call everyone a star, how will that work?" she told journalist Vicky Lalwani, adding, "Not everyone can be (late actor) Dilip Kumar. It takes years to become a star; you lose your hair by the time you get there. (Actors) Meena Kumari, Madhubala, Nargis, Rekha were the real stars among heroines."
Mumtaz, 78, and Zeenat, 74, were prominent actors in Hindi cinema during the 1960s and '70s, and are known for films such as Do Raaste (1969) and Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978), respectively, among others. HTC...
