India, Jan. 31 -- F ormer badminton player Saina Nehwal, 35, recently addressed online speculation surrounding her equation with actor Parineeti Chopra, 37, who portrayed her in the 2021 biopic Saina. The chatter began after social media users noticed that while Saina follows Parineeti on Instagram, the actor does not follow her back. "Life has been so busy with my training, tournaments and events ki iss cheez pe dhyaan nahin gaya. Jitni bhi baatein hui hain humari, it's not like ki friends bann gaye thhe," said Saina, speaking to talk show host Subhojit Ghosh about her rapport with Parineeti. She added, "Hum 2-3 weeks mein 1-2 ghante milte thhe [during the shoot of Saina]. Director saab (Amole Gupte) was there and I explained about my journey. It was totally professional."
