rinidad-born rapper Nicki Minaj's support for US President Donald Trump isn't new, but her latest appearance alongside him in Washington, D.C., has reignited debate online. Minaj appeared at a US Treasury event on Wednesday, where she reiterated her backing for Trump, calling herself his "Number One fan" and dismissing criticism as "bullying" and "smear campaigns". Videos from the event quickly went viral.
Soon after, Minaj shared a photo on X holding Trump's "Gold Card", an investor visa said to fast-track US residency for a reported $1 million fee, claiming she received it free of charge.
Her political stance has been public for some time. Last year, her praise for Trump and Vice President JD Vance sparked backlash, including an online petition calling for her deportation.
