India, April 1 -- Arising music star among Gen Z, Navjot Ahuja drew a packed, singing crowd at Tarang, the annual cultural fest of Lady Shri Ram College (LSR), on Monday. The 25-year-old singer, who gained popularity with his track Khaat, delivered a high-energy set that kept the audience hooked, even as light rain and cloudy skies loomed over the evening. Reassuring the crowd mid-show, he said, "The show isn't going to stop." Opening with Dhun, Ahuja revealed the song was written for his long-distance girlfriend, a moment that struck an instant chord with students. "It felt like one of our friends was on stage. There have been so many big artists performing this fest season, but this was the most warm and endearing evening," said Kriti Mehra, a final-year student. He followed up with Choo Lo, prompting a loud singalong, and moved into crowd favourites such as Yeh Vaadiyan and Aaoge Tum Kabhi. A standout moment came with his rendition of Die With a Smile by Bruno Mars, with the audience matching him note for note. "I have never heard a crowd go this loud for this song at any of my shows," Ahuja said, clearly impressed. Responding to repeated chants for Khaat, the singer surprised fans with an unreleased version of the track. The mood then turned mellow as he performed Daryaa, Bulleya and Ilahi, before wrapping up the rain-kissed evening with a heartfelt thank you to the audience....
