India, Jan. 21 -- A shocking video of a man urinating inside a Delhi Metro station has sparked online outrage. The clip, which has been shared on several social media handles, shows the man near a glass panel at a station. Upon noticing that he was being filmed, he fled the public spot. The video that has gained much attention calls out the lack of civic sense. Though the date and exact location of the incident and the station, where it was recorded are yet to be verified, social media users have called for strict punishment for the offender. An X user commented, "Print his photo and hang it on the same wall for a week. That's the only way to deal with these." Another user added, "This is a punishable offence. He should be punished." Sharing a similar experience, one user has recounted: "This has happened right in front of me once. It was around 10 at night, and a man started urinating on the platform in front of me..." As per the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) website, almost all Metro platforms have toilets and such acts of defacement of metro property attract a fine of Rs.200. When contacted, the DMRC spokesperson stated: "If passengers notice any activity leading to dirtying of the Metro trains or premises or any form of indecency, they should immediately bring the same to the notice of the nearest DMRC, CISF or Police authorities.
