India, Jan. 26 -- A fter nearly two weeks of wedding celebrations, singer Prakriti Kakar and entrepreneur Vinay Anand tied the knot on January 23, 2026, in a regal ceremony at Fort Barwara near Jaipur. The destination wedding marked Prakriti's long-standing dream of getting married in a palace. A few days ahead of the wedding, the singer had told HT City, "Last year on New Year's, Vinay and I happened to visit Udaipur, and it was quite clear we would love to get married in a fort or palace in Rajasthan. It was my childhood fantasy. Convincing our parents was a bit of a task, but we were very sure about our plan." The festivities began well before the wedding day, with rituals that blended traditional charm with modern touches. For the ceremony, Prakriti wore a rose-red bridal lehenga with intricate embroidery and shimmering embellishments, while Vinay complemented her in an off-white sherwani with subtle detailing. The couple, who got engaged in April 2025, kicked off the celebrations with a colourful mehendi ceremony attended by close friends and family.
