Indian model Bhavitha Mandava's landmark fashion feat
India, March 8 -- Model Bhavitha Mandava has become the first Indian house ambassador for the French luxury brand Chanel, marking a milestone for Indian representation in global fashion. The Hyderabad-born model now joins the label's ambassador lineup that includes actors Margot Robbie and Timothee Chalamet. A former architecture student, Mandava's rise in fashion has been swift. She led Chanel's Metiers d'Art presentation in New York in December 2025 and also closed the brand's haute couture show in January in a bridal look.
Sharing the news on Instagram, she spoke about what the brand represents to her and wrote, "Chanel has long stood as a symbol of the modern working woman in motion, a spirit I deeply resonate with and am proud to embody."
