India, Feb. 20 -- The rise of collectible design in India reflects a shift, from rare objects to authored works with enduring value, sought by collectors who see design as both expression and investment. ID Salon, an initiative by Ogaan Media, conceived as a focused forum dedicated to collectible design, has come up with a debut edition of ID Salon until February 22 at Bikaner House, New Delhi. "ID Salon introduces a focused platform for collectible design in India, bringing together global galleries, contemporary designers, and the country's rich craft traditions. It reflects a growing collector culture and positions India within the global design conversation," says Mahesh Nambiar, CEO, Ogaan Media Pvt. Ltd. "The idea behind ID Salon was to build a sharper language for collecting design in India - grounded in craft, driven by contemporary authorship, and presented with global rigour. It is a market-shaping platform for collectible design in the country," adds Misha Bains, Curator and Fair Director, India Design ID and ID Salon. HTC...
