India, Feb. 12 -- H ansraj College principal Rama has refuted fresh allegations that the college's boys' hostel was used to accommodate guests during her son's wedding held on campus on February 10. The boys' hostel has remained shut for nearly a year after being declared "unfit for living", and protesting students had alleged that it was temporarily reopened and decorated to host wedding attendees. The other gate is about 2km away, making it inconvenient for students. During college fests, students are told the ground is available only till 4-5pm. But the wedding function went on till 3am. What's the justification?" he said. He also alleged that the Khelo Hansraj Games, scheduled from February 4, were postponed due to the wedding arrangements. Responding more broadly to the row, Rama reiterated that the college ground has historically been accessible to staff members for personal functions, adding that no rules were violated. The administration also maintains that due process was followed....
