Doctors caution against the hidden health hazard of indoor air pollution
India, Jan. 23 -- A
s Delhi continues to struggle with poor air quality, DP Purifier in collaboration with Heal Foundation, recently hosted an exclusive session on indoor air pollution with over 100 leading doctors and medical specialists in New Delhi. The discussion focused on the impact of polluted indoor air in hospitals, ICUs, OPDs, clinics, and other high-risk healthcare spaces.
Doctors shared firsthand experiences, noting that poor indoor air quality is contributing to higher infection rates, slower patient recovery, and a rise in respiratory and immunity-related problems.
A key session was led by German air scientist Jaseeb, the science behind indoor air pollutants and explained why ceiling-mounted purifiers perform better than conventional floor units.
Adding their perspectives, Dr Tanya Sharma spoke about the rise in respiratory ailments, while Dr SK Poddar highlighted increasing asthma and COPD cases across age groups.
Sakshi Hasija, Marketing Director, DP Purifier, said the initiative was aimed at working closely with the medical community to introduce practical clean-air solutions for hospitals and clinics.
