India, March 21 -- Veteran actor Anupam Kher has revealed that he turned down offers from hair-weaving companies to undergo a hair transplant, choosing instead to embrace his bald look. "Main har hair weaving company ya doctor ka sapna hoon. Aur bahut saare log paise dene ko tayaar hain ki ek baar aap baal lagwalo humse. Maine yeh mauka unko nahin diya," the 71-year-old told Pinkvilla. Anupam debuted in the 1982 movie Aagman at a time when having a head full of hair was a required expectation for leading as well as supporting roles. However, the actor, who will next be seen in Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, added, "Kitne bhi paison ki zarurat mujhe padh jaaye, main paise nahin lunga kyunki mujhe lagta hai main woh rahunga hi nahin. Jab (my son, actor) Sikandar bahut chota tha, main ek baar akhbar padh raha tha aur mujhe nahi pata tha usmein hair oil ki ad hai. To Sikandar ko laga main voh ad dekh raha hoon toh voh kehta, 'dad sochna bhi mat'." Now a two-time National Award winner, Anupam adds that he continues resisting stereotypes in his daily life, advising youngsters not to call him "sir" or "uncle", but instead address him as "AK" or "Anupam ji". He added that being called "uncle ji" boxes him into a category, whereas he prefers to break stereotypes. htc...
