India, Feb. 9 -- On Saturday evening, the Capital was immersed in the meditative world of Sufi music as Dayar-e-Ishq, a realm of love, unfolded at the India Islamic Cultural Centre. Led by renowned singer Anita Singhvi, the full-length concert drew from Urdu poetry and mysticism, shaping a lyrical journey of devotion, reflection and song. Sher-o-shayari was woven through the programme, deepening its contemplative mood. Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, who attended the concert as chief guest, spoke about the healing power of music: "Aaj ke tez tarrar daur mein, jahan insaan bechaini aur akelepan se jhooj raha hai, sangeet ek sukoon ki panah bankar ubhar kar aata hai." Echoing this sentiment, Nasir Ali, chairman of The Indian Heritage and Healthcare Centre, emphasised the need to preserve and pass on Urdu's cultural and spiritual legacy. "It is important to spread the message of love that comes through Urdu. We want to carry forward its literature, ghazals and Sufi music to the next generation," he said.
