India, April 19 -- Ryan Gosling-starrer sci-fi film Project Hail Mary saw his character, Ryland Grace, navigating the hurdles of floating through space alone. His on-screen solitude is offset by a constant AI companion, Mary, the ship's computer, voiced by Priya Kansara. She opens up about working alongside Gosling and her experience on the film. Calling Gosling "awesome", Kansara admits she was initially intimidated sharing screen space with the acclaimed actor. "I was so nervous because he's somebody whose work I've admired for a really long time. I've watched so many of his movies and I think he's a brilliant actor. So, you feel a bit of imposter syndrome. But he was so warm and open. I learned a lot working with him," she says. Describing his approach on set, Kansara notes that Gosling remained composed even during physically demanding sequences. "He is very focused. Ryland's a funny character, a bit dorky, and Ryan exemplifies that. I appreciated how calm, collected and kind he is all the time. There were some really stressful days on set. he's in a wire because he's doing zero gravity and 15 people are telling him different things. But Ryan never gets overwhelmed, at least not visibly," she shares, adding that his demeanour served as a reminder of "how important it is to just be kind on set." Kansara, who is also known for her work on Bridgerton, also hinted at the possibility of exploring Indian cinema in the future. "I grew up watching Bollywood movies and they have a very special place for me. So if the right story or the right people came along. then who knows? We'll see," she says....
