Chandigarh, Feb. 27 -- Uttar Pradesh golfer Vinamra Anand continued his impressive run to retain the third-round lead at the IGU Samarvir Sahi Amateur Golf Championship 2025, underway at the Chandigarh Golf Club from February 24 to 27. A competitive field of 100 players teed off in the opening round, with 54 advancing past the cut after two rounds. Overnight leader Anand, who carded rounds of 69 and 67 earlier, endured a tougher outing in the third round, returning a one-over 73. Despite the challenging conditions, he maintained his advantage with a three-day aggregate of seven-under 209 and will head into the final round as the frontrunner. Kanav Chauhan of Uttar Pradesh climbed to second after a steady one-under 71, taking his total to 218. Chandigarh's Ram Singh Mann also impressed with a 71 to stand third at 219, while Maharashtra's Shamit Dakhane followed closely at 220. The top 54 golfers will now battle it out in the final round on Friday....
