Chandigarh, Feb. 13 -- Riding high on superb centuries from seasoned Uday Kaul (145 no) and Bipul Sharma (119 no), Chandigarh piled up 352 runs for the loss of five wickets against Manipur on Day One of the four-day Plate Group Ranji Trophy match being played at the Videocon Ground, Kolkata, on Wednesday.

On winning the toss, Manipur captain Narsingh Yadav opted to field.

For Chandigarh, Shivam Bhambri and Kunal Mahajan opened the innings. Playing in his second Ranji Trophy match, Kunal became the first victim for Manipur when he was trapped leg before the wicket on the bowling of Sheiteendra for 4 runs.

Carrying forward his fine form, Sheiteendra drew another blood when he bagged the prized wicket of Chandigarh captain Manan Vohra.
