Two charred to death afterbus catches fire in Bhiwani
Rohtak, April 29 -- Two people were charred to death and seven others injured after a private bus, they were travelling in, caught fire near Malikpur village in Bhiwani's Bawani Khera area on Monday night, police said on Tuesday.
Tosham deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Dalip Singh said the bus was on its way to Hansi from Bhiwani when the incident took place near Malikpur village.
Police said both men who died in the incident could not get off the bus and were caught in the flames, and their charred bodies were found later.
Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the injuredwere taken to a hospital, they added.
"One of the victims is a government employee and the other was working at a private company in Hisar. Their family members said that they did not return home and were missing. We assume that both the victims are the same persons," the DSP said.
According to police, a criminal investigation department employee, Sunil Kumar, a resident of Badsi village and Seva Nagar native Baljeet are missing since last evening and are suspected to be the twovictims.
Police attributed the mishap to a lightning strike, suggesting the bus might have caught fire afterward....
